  • A new device for the elderly has emerged in China’s residential buildings. People can either stand or sit on it so they don’t have to climb the stairs.

  • Giant panda Jing Jing gave birth to a male cub on July 10 in Chengdu. This was Jing Jing’s second delivery after she gave birth to twin brothers in 2015. The newly expanded family lives in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. One of the mascots for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing was named after Jing Jing.
