The so-called “self-defense flame throwers” can shoot flames as far as 19 inches.
They cost between $2 and $80.
“Whether the person is following you or not, we need to throw the flames to warn them,” one ad said.
Police said that it is “technically illegal” to send the devices to customers through the postal service.
