China’s fastest suspension railway

China’s fastest suspension railway has been operating on a trial basis in Qingdao, in eastern China’s Shandong Province, since July 20, 2017.

The train, nicknamed the “Sky Train,” is suspended from a fixed track.

It hangs 16 feet above the ground, can carry up to 510 passengers, and has a maximum speed of 43 miles per hour.

The train was made by the rolling-stock company CRRC.
