According to China’s Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau, there were 48 elevator/escalator accidents in 2016, killing 41 people.

But at least this one in Guyuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region didn’t eat the poor girl, or crush anyone to death.
