Mary Ma: Chinese fashion designers have become more creative

This year’s New York Fashion Week featured many Chinese fashion designers. I spoke with Mary Ma, who was China’s top supermodel before becoming a prominent fashion designer, and asked where she draws her inspiration.

Jia Guo is from the coastal city of Qingdao. She has an M.A. in multimedia journalism from NYU and has worked at Facebook and Bloomberg TV in New York City. Read more
