The China Project Women’s Network: Why women-led companies achieve higher results
On February 28, as part of the The China Project Women’s Network Monthly Series, Jolyne Caruso will speak with us about her experiences as founder and CEO of The Alberleen Group and explain why women-majority boards and companies often have better results than companies without as many women in leadership positions.
Ms. Caruso has over 30 years of Wall Street experience spanning global capital markets and asset management businesses at major Wall Street firms. Previously, she worked as global head of Absolute Return Strategies at Lehman Brothers and served on the management committee of the firm. Prior to Lehman, Ms. Caruso was co-founder and president of Andor Capital Management, a $7.0 billion technology-focused equity hedge fund. From 1992 to 2001, she was managing director and head of equities Americas atย JPย Morgan and was chairman ofย JPย Morgan Securities. She began her career at Bear Stearns in institutional equities.
Ms. Caruso holds a B.A. with honors from Barnard College, Columbia University, and is chair Emerita of Barnardโs Board of Trustees. She has served on numerous nonprofit, corporate, and industry boards, and currently sits on the fund advisory board of Golden Seeds, an angel investing group for women-owned businesses, and is an advisor to Columbia Universityโs Entrepreneurship Program. She is a frequent speaker at family office and impact investing conferences.
