The final Kuora column
Today marks the final time weโll run Kuoraย (a play on โQuoraโ), written by Kaiser Kuo, a weekly column that began near the end of 2017 and has touched on everything from the usefulness of the Chinese languageย to the origins of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protestsย to foodย to why Chinese people donโt smell.
The final column is a fitting one to end on, considering the diversity of subjects Kaiser has written about: a chronological list of every major event in Chinese history.
And while youโre at it, three other good ones weโd recommend:
- Why do so many people feel that the Chinese canโt possibly be OK with their government or society?
- How realistic is Americaโs media portrayal of China?
- Why does the Chinese Communist Party not permit opposition groups?
