A public bicycle station in Beijing’s Wangfujing district offers a convenient transportation option for residents of the traffic-clogged Chinese capital. To encourage more riders, the city has installed nearly 1,900 racks with bikes that are free for the first hour and less than $2 for a full day’s access.
