Snowy mountains in southwestern China

The Chola Mountains, also called the Trola Mountains, are a northern subrange of the Shaluli Mountains in western Sichuan Province. Chola, a Tibetan name, means “snow mountain.” However, the name was transliterated by Chinese into 雀儿 què’ér, which means “Sparrow Mountains.”
