Tai chi along the Grand Canal
People practice tai chi along the Grand Canal, also known as the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, in Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province. At 1,104 miles, the canal is the longest artificial river in the world. It starts in Beijing and passes through the provinces of Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang to the city of Hangzhou, linking the Yellow River and Yangtze River. The oldest parts of the canal were built in the fifth century B.C.
