An autonomous bus from China’s train maker

People’s Daily reported that the smart bus, which was researched and developed by China’s rolling-stock company CRRC, completed its first road test on July 18 in Zhuzhou. The company claimed that the bus’s technology allowed it to plan a route without a human driver.

China’s rolling-stock maker CRRC independently developed a “smart bus.”

It completed its first road test on July 18 in Zhuzhou in southern China’s Hunan Province.

The bus is 39 feet long with a maximum speed of 24 miles per hour.

It is equipped with sensors that can plan a route without the driver’s intervention.
