China is leading the world in solar energy. Not only does the country have the world’s largest floating solar farm, it also has the world’s cutest solar farm, which is shaped like a giant panda. Now a new solar farm is being built in Shanxi Province that can produce 1.51 billion kilowatts of electricity per year.
This is a new solar farm in Ruicheng County of Shanxi Province in northern China.
It covers more than 10,590 acres and is the largest solar power plant in Shanxi.
It is capable of generating 1.51 billion kilowatts of electricity per year, enough to power about 1 million homes.
China has become the world’s largest producer of solar energy, as the country’s installed photovoltaic capacity more than doubled in 2016.
Shanxi Province is also home to the world’s cutest solar farm!
Shaped like a giant panda, the farm is being built by Panda Green Energy Group in Shanxi.
It will be capable of powering more than 10,000 homes.
