An Africa storytelling night in Beijing
“In African culture, storytelling played a really important role, and it continues to do so in transmitting histories, in transmitting knowledge and wisdom from previous generations to current generations,” says Zahra Baitie, founder of Kente and Silk and lead organizer of Africa Week in Beijing, a recently concluded program of events promoting Chinese understanding of African culture.
