Man releases pigeons on a highway in China
A man was recently caught on camera releasing 60 to 70 pigeons on a highway in Jilin Province. He said he wanted them to be free and chose the highway because of how wide and spacious it was.
The man received a penalty of 200 yuan (about $29), and lost six points for parking in an emergency lane.
In China, drivers have a total of 12 points per year, and lose them if they engage in traffic violations. Minor offenses, such as smoking or talking on the phone while driving, cost two points. Violations that are considered larger, such as carrying too many people in a car or running a red light, cost six points โ the same punishment that the pigeon man received. If drivers lose all 12 points, they have to retake a driving exam.
