Emily Williams is a lecturer in Chinese society at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou. She received her Ph.D in Cultural History from Birkbeck College, University of London. Her research focuses on the impacts and legacies of Chinese Communist art and history, both in China and globally.
