Crystal waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou

Pearl Shoal Waterfall (珍珠滩瀑布 zhēnzhū tān pùbù) in Jiuzhaigou, a nature reserve and national park in Sichuan Province, is a popular tourist attraction. The province is also well known for its delicious spicy food. You can learn to cook a simple Sichuan-style potato dish in this episode of The Secret Menu, The China Project’s new cooking show.

Michael Yamashita is an award-winning photographer who has been shooting for National Geographic magazine for more than 30 years. He specialized in Asia after spending seven years in the region following his graduation from Wesleyan University.
