Green train in the snow

An old green-colored train enters the station in Diaobingshan, Liaoning Province. In China, such trains were popular in the 1990s because they were inexpensive. They are less common now, since high-speed trains are quicker and more comfortable. China currently has the worldโ€™s largest high-speed railway network, covering 22,000 kilometers (13,700 miles), and is set to expand it by 36 percent in the next three years.
