Naxi ancient music

In this photo from 1996, musicians play Naxi ancient music for tourists in Yuhu Village, which belongs to the Naxi minority in Yunnan Province. Dating back to the 14th century, Naxi ancient music is influenced by Confucian and Taoist culture. Many musicians who play it are older, in their eighties or nineties, and the traditional instruments they use include the sugudu, pipa, reed pipe, bamboo flute, huqin, and sanxian.
