Pilgrims on a devotional walk

Pilgrims of all ages walk at Barkhor, an area of narrow streets with a public square located around Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, Tibet. The crowd walks about 3,200 feet, circling Jokhang Temple and some other nobles’ houses, including Tromzikhang and Jamkhang, during the worship ceremony.
