Resting at the train station

A tired family sleeps in the waiting area of a railway station in Beijing. Trains remain people’s primary mode of long-distance transportation in China, and the development of high-speed rail lines is speeding up the experience; the country’s bullet trains handled about 45 percent of the passenger load in 2015 with 1.1 billion trips completed.
