Xi’an city wall at night

The Xi’an city wall, which was initially built during the Tang dynasty (618–907), was enlarged in the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). The wall is about 40 feet (12 meters) tall, 40-46 feet (12-14 meters) wide at the top, and 50-60 feet (15-18 meters) thick at the bottom.
