Editor’s note for Wednesday, September 23, 2020
A note from the editor of today's The China Project Access newsletter.

My thoughts today:
Correction and apology: Our recent story, Blind man films disability-unfriendly designs in Shenzhen โ only to find himself attacked by abusive trolls, originally contained an image from The Economist by Hanna Barczyk. Our apologies for an unintentional misuse of copyrighted work.
A black eye for the U.S. Justice Departmentย as it hunts for improper scientific collaboration: โProsecutors abruptly moved to drop criminal charges against a visiting Chinese scientist at the University of Virginia who had been arrested last month on allegations of stealing trade secrets from his professor, after the university acknowledged the scientist was authorized to access some of the material,โย reports the Wall Street Journal. ย
