Worth reading: An update from Hong Kong on the political situation in the territory written by resident lawyer and author Antony Dapiran.ย ย

Bilingual marketing professional wanted: A top tier global accounting firm is seeking a part timer, remote working from anywhere is fine. Email your CV to direct@thechinaproject.com if youโ€™re interested.ย ย ย

Our word of the day is “better angels” in China-U.S. relations (ไธญ็พŽๅ…ณ็ณปไธญ โ€œๅ–„่‰ฏ็š„ๅคฉไฝฟโ€ zhลngmฤ›i guฤnxรฌ zhลng โ€œshร nliรกng de tiฤnshวโ€). Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Huร  Chลซnyรญng ๅŽๆ˜ฅ่Žน appealed to them today (in English, Chinese) as she welcomed the U.S. rejoining the Paris climate accord and the World Health Organization.ย
